do we need planning permission for a school room?

Planning permission requirements for timber school rooms vary depending on the size, location, and specific regulations in your area. It’s essential to consult your local planning authority to determine whether planning permission is needed for your project. In some cases, timber school cabins may fall under permitted development rights, which do not require planning permission.

are your school rooms weatherproof?

Yes, our cabins for education are weatherproof, designed to withstand the unpredictable British weather for decades when maintained as recommended. Manufactured using thick, durable FSC accredited Scandinavian slow-grown redwood, your school cabin will withstand the UK climate and remain protected from the elements year-round.

how long does installation take?

Installation times vary depending on the size of the school cabin and site access, but most can be delivered and fully installed in just one to two days once on site. Our experienced team handles the entire process efficiently, so you can start using your cabin immediately.

Are your school rooms suitable for year-round use?

Yes, our school huts are designed to create a warm, sheltered environment that can be comfortably used throughout the year, throughout all weathers.

Can cabins be used for forest school activities?

Absolutely. Many schools use our cabins as sheltered bases for forest school sessions, outdoor learning and nature-based activities. For example, Springfield School bought a 17m² Cabin with a BBQ Grill fitted to allow the children to experience fire in a safe environment. The cabin was made accessible for wheelchair users, giving pupils inclusive, consistent access to forest school opportunities year-round.
