Meet the Team... Stuart Creedy

Some description

Q. What is your role?

A. My role is primarily a business development role, I look after our distributors, helping them with their sales and marketing, making sure their orders are completed on time and that they have the support they need to sell Arctic Cabins. I project manage all the large scale builds and projects. I recently worked on the new café and family activity centre for The National Water Sport Centre in Nottinghamshire.

Q. What was your first job?

A. At the age of 16 I started working part time on the tills at my local Co-Op. Back then it was a surprise to see male cashiers, I use to get lots of comments. My first ‘proper’ job was a Policeman in Tooting.

Q. What time does your working day begin?

A. 8.00am in the office, earlier if I’m on the road to meet up with a distributor.

Q. What do you most like about your job?

A. I like the variety, I know everyone says it but no two days are the same. I love seeing the looks on people’s faces when they see the cabins for the first time but I think the thing that gives me the greatest satisfaction is being involved with the whole process from marketing and quoting to manufacture and finally seeing the building on site and in use.

Q. If not in your present job, what would you like to do?

A. Without a doubt a professional Motorbike Racer! If this is the way the questions are going now, there is going to be a bit of a theme developing (he grins!)

Q. What’s on top of your to-do list?

A. From a work point of view, I am looking for more distributors in Scotland. We are getting lots of orders and enquiries from there and quite often our customers have to travel a long way to see a cabin.

Q. Who do you most admire?

A. Ranulph Fiennes, the explorer.

Q. What’s you biggest achievement to date?

A. Marrying someone who likes motorbikes!

Q. What would be your ideal holiday?

A. Touring New Zealand on a motorbike.

Q. What are your hobbies?

A. Motorbike racing, in fact anything motorbike related! I did tell you there’d be a theme developing.

Q. What’s your favourite quote?

A. “Attitude is a little thing that makes a big difference” Winston Churchill.

Q. What’s your favourite song?

A. Anything by Thin Lizzy.

Q. What was your best subject at school?

A. Phyisics.

Q. What is your favourite time of day?

A. Mornings, I’m an early riser for sure.

Q. What’s your top barbecue cabin tip?

A. In the winter, mulled wine gently warmed in the kettle is delicious!
