This week has seen much good news about the growth of the UK manufacturing industry. A survey by the CBI has revealed that optimism amongst the UK’s smaller manufacturers has surged to its highest level since records being in 1988.
Derbyshire based barbecue cabin manufacturer Arctic Cabins certainly shares this optimism and has much good news to shout about, so far 2014 has been a great year, order books are swelling and additional staff are being recruited.
Managing Director, Gareth Parkinson said ‘this latest research is great news, for our region and the UK. We sell direct to market and via distributor channels, we have seen a rise in orders across the board. Our customers appreciate that our products are made in the UK, they can visit the factory and see their cabins being made if they want to, this is important to them, it gives people confidence and reassurance and this is being reflected within our order books.’
It’s not just the consumer market that is growing; the number of distributor businesses is also increasing. This month Arctic Cabins shipped their first orders to Blue Diamond Garden Centres in Jersey and Guernsey and more orders have been placed.
Another boost for Arctic Cabins has been that they have recently been accepted as a Barclays Finance partner. Gareth added ‘this was great news for our business, it shows confidence in us and our product and it enables us to offer flexible finance options from a credible finance service provider to our customers’.
