Complete Build-Up Service

Arctic Cabins can provide a full installation service for your new Arctic Cabin including:

• vented concrete or timber base
• erection of your new building
• staining or varnishing
  

Below are some costs for the build-up service and base fitting. Please note that the base costs are subject to site survey as the amount of work required to prepare the ground differs from job to job.

Concrete Base

You would normally put a concrete base down for the cabin to sit on if the ground underneath the cabin was soft.  If you wish to put your new Arctic Cabin on an area that is not an existing hard-standing you would need to either put a concrete base down or some other form of hard-standing.  Ie. Decking or paving slabs.

Arctic Cabins build their concrete bases with 160mm underground vent leading from the outside edge to the centre of the base.  The reason for this is that the barbecue will need air to feed the fire and we have found that the best place to deliver the air is to the underside of the BBQ unit. 

We would always recommend where possible to fit a concrete base as this is the best surface for the cabin and will provide more longevity than a timber base.

Tanalised Timber Base

The big advantage of a tanalised timber base is that if you already have an existing hard-standing such as patio, block paving, concrete pad or decking there is no need to start digging it up and replacing it with concrete.  The timber base we build will have a channel running through the middle to act as you air inlet instead of the pipe mentioned above.
